PS4 is an 8-generation game console developed by Sony, released in 2014. Millions of users can play their favorite video games like Call of Duty, Knack, Second Son, and GTA 5 on TV or PC screen via their PS4.
However, do you ever hear that iPhone can also perform as a second screen for PS4 so that you can play games on your bed or other places instead of using PSV?
In this tutorial, I will introduce how to connect PS4 to iPhone to manage PSN contents and play some games which support iPhone play.

Part 1 The Right Way to Connect PS4 to iPhone
Step 1
First of all, you must download the PlayStation App for your iPhone. You can find it in App Store or Google Play.
Step 2
Make sure your iPhone and PS4 are connected to the same network.
To check the network condition for the PS4, please go to “Settings” > “Network” > “Test Internet Connection”. If the nat type is “3” in the result, then, some functionalities of the PS4 may be restrained, and in this case, you should contact the local network provider for help.
Step 3
In “Settings”, select “PlayStation App Connection Settings” > “Add Device”. Then, a code will pop up on the screen.

Step 4
Launch the PlayStation App on your iPhone you previously downloaded. This time, you don’t need to sign in with your PSN account.

Step 5
On the lower left of the screen, tap on “Connect to PS4”. Make sure whether the words “Power On” are displayed. Otherwise, you should check whether the 2 devices are connected to the same network again.
Step 6
Enter the 8-digit code displayed on the iPhone. In this way, your mobile phone can be authorized to get connected to the console.

Step 7
The process is almost finished. But now, you can only swipe on the screen to scan PSN contents and can't play any games.
If the game supports iPhone play, tap on “2” above the virtual PS4 controller and then, the game becomes playable, although it might be a little bit hard to play games like COD by swiping up and down on the screen.
Step 8
If you want to disconnect PS4 from iPhone and shut it down, you should close the “Second Screen” controller and tap on “Power”.
Tips: If you can’t connect PS4 to iPhone no matter how many times you check the network, please update iOS to the latest version.
Pretty simple right? Instead of spending hundreds of dollars on PSV, now, you can use your iPhone as a second screen for PS4, enjoying your favorite video games even under a quilt.
Part 2 How to Connect PS4 Controller to iPhone iOS 12 to Play Games
For iPhone games, sometimes, it can be really hard to control the figure, move forward and backward by swiping up and down, especially when your hands are wet or dirty. Especially for those online competitive ones for bad sensibility always lets you lose when against other players.
But don’t worry, this time, I’m going to share a secret – how to connect PS4 controller with iPhone to play games. Just follow the steps below.
1. Jailbreak your iPhone and install Cydia that is similar to App Store. Then, download an App named “Controller for All”.
2. Open Bluetooth on the device.
3. Press the “Home” and “Share” buttons on the controller simultaneously until you see the blue LED light starts blinking.
4. Now, the iDevice has paired with the controller. Launch a game and have a try!
