iPhone makes it easy to access and transfer contacts. When someone wants to contact your friend(s) and ask you for the contact information, you can send iPhone contact to email. No matter what device the one use, he or she can receive the contact you shared.

Share One iPhone Contact via Email

An iPhone allows you share contact as the vCard attachment (.vcf format) via an email. When the recipient receives this email, he or she can open this file and see the detailed contact information. The recipient can also add this contact to their iPhone, Gmail or Outlook.

You can refer to the steps below to share iPhone contacts via email with anyone.

Step 1. Open Contacts app to browse your contacts. You can also tap the Phone icon and tap the Contacts tab at the bottom to view your contacts.

Step 2. Select the contact that you want to send to an email.

Step 3. On the contact details page, tap on Share Contact and select Mail. If you want to send iPhone contact via Gmail app, then tap on the three dots icon to select Gmail.

Step 4. After that, you can see the vCard is attached in the email. Just select or type in the email address and press Send.

As you can see, you can also send iPhone contacts as vCard using text message, which is quite convenient. However, iPhone does not allow you to select email contacts to email. For sending multiple contacts to email, you can use other methods.

Share Multiple or All Contacts from iPhone to Email

Sometimes, you may need to send more or all iPhone contacts to email. For example, you want to transfer all contacts from iPhone to an Android phone. In that case, you can use iCloud to export all contacts as vCard, so you can send it via email.

To send multiple iPhone contacts via email:

Step 1. Head over to iCloud.com and log in on a Windows PC or Mac.

Step 2. Go to the Contacts page.

Step 3. Press and Hold the Ctrl key to select multiple contacts that you want to share or click the Gear icon down the left corner to select all contacts.

Step 4. Click the Gear icon and select Export vCard.

Step 5. Open your email tool to write a new email and attach the vCard contacts file.

In this way, the recipient can directly view the contact information or import the contacts to his or her phone, Gmail, or Outlook Email.
