How to Backup iPhone Contacts to Computer Easily

Step 1: Free download IOTransfer on your computer

Step 2: Connect your iPhone to your computer

Connect the iPhone to your computer via a USB cable and launch IOTransfer. Your iPhone will be recognized automatically by IOTransfer.

Step 3：Back up contacts to your computer

Once IOTransfer recognizes your iPhone, take the following steps to backup all contacts in 1-click or just backup them separately.

1. Back up all contacts with 1-click

On the HOME page, by default, the category is selected if there is any item in that category. To transfer Contacts only, you should untick the options of Photos, Music, and Videos.

The transferred files will be saved to a default folder in Disk C:. If you want to change the transfer path, click the Set transfer path text link to change the transfer folder before you start the transfer.

After all things are prepared, click the Transfer to PC button to transfer all contacts to your custom folder.

2. Back up contacts separately

Switch to MANAGE tab and select Contacts on the left panel. You can select all contacts or select each contact you want to transfer. Then click the Export to back up the contacts to your computer.

Method 2: Backup iPhone Contacts to Computer with iTunes

Another option for backing up your iPhone’s contacts is using iTunes. Follow the step-by-step instructions below to learn how to backup iPhone contacts with iTunes.

Step 1: Open iTunes and connect your iPhone to your computer.

Step 2: Select your iPhone when it appears in iTunes.

Step 3: Locate "Summary". Make sure the option This computer is selected before you click on "Back Up Now".  

Step 4: Then iTunes will store a full backup of your iPhone on your computer.
