Post YouTube Video to Instagram in One Go

You probably use Instagram more often on your mobile device than other platforms. In that case, the first method I am going to show you is available on iOS mobile devices.

You may have heard the Shortcuts, which is formerly known as Workflow, the task automation application in iOS 12. Siri Shortcuts actually can be used to automate many things. To post YouTube video to your Instagram is among them.

Being around in a while, Shortcuts app has been used to create many custom shortcuts to automate regular tasks. Right now, you can find many YouTube Downloader shortcuts to help you download YouTube videos on your iOS device. For post it on Instagram, you just need to add a few actions.

If you do not like to edit it yourself, here is a pre-made shortcut you can use to post video from YouTube to Instagram easily.

Step 1. Download the Shortcuts app if you haven’t. Then download the shortcut Post YouTube Video to Instagram.

Step 2. Copy the YouTube video link and run this shortcut. Shortcuts is also available in Share Sheet, you can also tap the Share button from YouTube app and run this shortcut.

Step 3. Select a video quality that you want to download.

Step 4. Trim the video if needed. As you know, the Instagram video time limit is 3–60 seconds.

Without the automation app Shortcuts, you need takes three steps mainly to upload a YouTube to your Instagram. If the video is under 1 minute or you want to post YouTube video to IGTV, then you don’t need to trim it. Otherwise, it takes 3 main steps.

Step 1 Download YouTube Video

If you want to download YouTube video to your Windows PC, IOTransfer is a great choice. It allows you to download videos from a ton of websites including YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. It provides an option to directly download and store videos on your iOS devices, which is really helpful for iPhone users.

After installation of IOTransfer, you can simply copy the YouTube video URL. When you get back to IOTransfer, click on Video and you will see the link copied is already pasted in the video downloader box. If not, manually paste it.

Step 2. Trim YouTube Video

In Windows 10, you can use the built-in feature to trim a video for Instagram. Just open the downloaded YouTube video with Photos app.

Step 3. Post It to Instagram
