A new iOS 12 developer beta 5 has been released, coming with some new updates and features. Especially in Photos app iOS 12, its new changes and updates allow you to take different actions with your photos by its smarter and improved suggestions. It is absolutely an exciting news for me.

As a hobbyist photographer, I like to take travel photos and there are tons of photos in my iPhone. So I am going to poke around to see if Apple has made any significant changes and updates in Photos app iOS 12. There is no doubt that it will do introduce a whole host of new features and changes worth checking out for those with access to it.

New Features and Changes in Photos App iOS 12

The iOS 12 Photos app looks great. Let’s take a close look at what new changes and features that the Photos app iOS 12 promises.

“For You” Tab in iOS 12 Photos App

iOS 12 Photos app provides you with new Featured Photos and Effect Suggestions by its all-new For You tab, giving you individual suggestions for different actions you can take with the pictures in your albums.

Search Suggestions in iOS 12 Photos App

Also, it brings Search Suggestions that enable you to highlight your pictures based on some events in your life or some special categories such as dancing, hiking, etc. Additionally, you can search for places by a broader category like the science museum. These smart suggestions can always help you find photos before you finish typing by suggesting events, places,etc.

Sharing Suggestions in iOS 12 Photos App

Furthermore, it provides you a smarter suggestion to identify faces in your photos. With its Sharing Suggestion, one of my favorite new features, it can understand when you have done something memorable, like attending a key event. Then it will suggest you sharing these photos  with your families, friends, business partners who are in them. If you receive some pictures from someone else, your iOS device will look for pictures in your library from the same event and suggest you sharing photos back. Here each picture is shared at full resolution in your iCloud photo library.

New Features and Changes in iOS 12 Beta 5

After learing about the new changes in Photos app iOS 12, let’s walk through some other new features and updates in iOS 12. 

There are several other significant changes and updates in iOS 12 for your iPhone and iPad, including stronger security and privacy; performance improvements, especially in older devices; more Siri access in third-party apps and Siri Shortcuts based on workflow; updates to Stocks, Voice Memos, Apple Books, and Apple News; new FaceTime sound effects; improved Face ID; not disturbed at bedtime; smarter notifications, and Screen Time parental controls; Memoji in Messages; FaceTime between up to 32 users,etc.

Apple has made iOS 12 beta 5 available for download so people can familiarize themselves with its many new updates and changes. But, do be warned that the update is still a beta, so you may come across some bugs. Here, you would better to back up your iphone to prevent the operation system breaking down. And do not install the beta on your primary device in case something goes wrong.

How to Back up Your iPhone Photos to PC 

Here you will be given a simple way to how to easily and quickly back up iPhone photos to PC with IOTransfer.

Step1. Free download IOTransfer and install it on your PC.

Step2. Open it and you can directly check Photos, Music, Videos, Contacts in the home screen and then click Transfer to PC to back up your filels.

If you only want to select some wonderful photos to back up, click MANAGE at the top menu and then choose Camera Roll or Albums to check the photos you want to transfer to PC. 

Step 3. Click Export tab to choose your transfer location and then click OK to start backing up your photos.
