What Do You Need?
What you need is a free app that acquired by Apple. You can free download it from AppStore. If you are using iOS 11 or previous version, you can download the Workflow App. If you have upgraded to iOS 12, then download the Shortcuts app.
iOS 12 Shortcuts app is the updated version of Workflow. Shortcuts come with more actions and you can use it to control more apps or even Homekit devices. However, Apple also removes some features that are available in Workflow. for example, BOX drive and MP3 file encoding are no longer available in Shortcuts.

It is quite easy to use Shortcuts or Workflow to change video playback speed. This Shortcut that I am about to show you enables you to convert video from Camera Roll or a cloud drive to slow motion. The converted video remains high quality. Once you get the app installed, you can follow the steps below to get started.
Step 1. Get this Convert Video to Slow Motion shortcut.
Step 2. Within the Shortcuts app, run this shortcut.
Step 3. Then you will be prompted to select the video playback speed. The default is 0.5 and you can change that to whatever is suitable for you.
Step 4. Choose where to select. You can select video from Camera Roll or Files app. If the video that you want to convert to slow motion is saved on a cloud drive, then select the Files option.
Step 5. Select the video. This also gives you the option to preview the video before you select it.
Step 6. When the process is done, you will be asked where to save the video. Just select a location you want to save slow motion video. and of course, you can play the video or share the video here.
Can I Speed up a Video on iPhone?
Sure, you can. This shortcut allows you to slow down or speed up a video. When you are asked to input video speed, you can type any number. If you input the number > 1, then it speeds up the video. if you input a number < 1, it slows down the video playback.
If you want to convert the video to a certain playback speed, then you edit this shortcut, so you will not be prompted to select speed all the time.
As you see, this Shortcuts app is very powerful. You may want to use it to convert more videos on your iPhone or computer. As you know, iPhone is not very well compatible with some video file formats. If you meet a problem when converting video to slow motion, you need to convert the video to a supported format.
How to Convert Video to iPhone Compatible Format
To convert a video to iPhone compatible format, you can use IOTransfer, video converter, and iPhone manager software. It supports most of the video formats, if not all. As you convert the video, it can help you automatically transfer the converted video to your iOS device.
It is recommended to convert video to MP4, and, of course, you can select other formats including audio formats. You can refer to the steps below to get started
Step 1. Free download and install this software on your Windows PC. Connect your iPhone to this computer via lightning cable.
Step 2. Within IOTransfer, click on the VIDEO tab at the top menu and select the Converter from the left panel.
