How to Convert YouTube Videos into Ringtones for iPhone

Step 1: Download IOTransfer to PC and install it.

Step 2: Convert YouTube video format with IOTransfer.

Step 1: Connect your iPhone to PC with the USB cable and launch iTunes on PC. Then add the M4A file to library.

Select “Songs” on the left category. Click “File” and choose “Add File to Library”. Choose the file converted just now.

Step 2: Make a no more than 30 seconds length file.

Right click the song to enter the “Song Info” page. Select “Option” and tick “start” and “stop” to set the ringtone length. The length is usually no more than 30 seconds. Then click “OK”.

Step 3: Set AAC Encoder.

Click “Edit” on the top left corner in iTunes homepage, and select “preference”. Continue with “General” - ”Import Settings” - ”Import Using”, and choose “AAC Encoder”, click “OK”.

Step 4: Convert the M4A file to AAC version.

Select the song which was edited before, Click “File” on the top left in iTunes homepage then select “Convert”, continue with “Create AAC Version”.

Step 5: Rename the M4A file to M4R format file.

The edited file shows up. Right click the song and select “Show in Windows Explorer”. In Windows Explorer, right click the song and rename the file extension from M4A to M4R. Please do not close the windows explorer.

Note: If there is no file extension showed in the windows explorer when renaming, set it like this: Open any folder - click “View”- tick “File Name Extensions”.

Step 6: Copy the M4R file from windows explorer and paste it into iPhone Tunes.

Note: If there is no your iPhone information, you need install the Apple Mobile Device Composite Device Driver for your iPhone.

Step 7: Find the M4R file on your iPhone and set it as your custom ringtone.

Do it as this: Settings - Sounds - Ringtone - Choose M4R file.
