How to Add Your Own Songs to iCloud Music Library Automatically

Here are three ways to add songs to iCloud Music Library. You can add your own music to Apple music, and better, you can automate this process.

If you have Apple Music subscription, you can add songs from Apple Music to iCloud Music Library, so you can listen to them across all your devices. Though Apple Music has 40 million music collection, certainly, there are some songs not in Apple Music collection.

Don’t worry, you can also add your own music or music you downloaded from elsewhere to iCloud Music Library. Since Apple Music also has an Android version, you can stream them on your all devices.

Add Songs to iCloud Music Library on iPhone or iPad

When you find any song or music video you like, you can add them to iCloud Music Library. Here is how to do it.

Step 1. Enable iCloud Music Library if you haven’t. Open Settings app, scroll down to select Music and then toggle on the iCloud Music Library.

Step 2. Open Apple Music and find the track you like to add.

Step 3. Tap the three dots button (…) to the right of the track and select Add to Library.

Once a song is added to Library, you can also download it to Apple Music for offline listening. In settings, you can also enable the option to Add Playlist Songs to My Music. After that, when you add a song to your playlist, it will automatically be added to iCloud Music Library.

Add Your Own Music to Apple Music

You may have downloaded music from iTunes Store or other location, or you have recorded your own music. You can also add them iCloud Music Library with the help of iTunes.

Step 1. Install iTunes on your PC if you haven’t.

Step 2. Click Edit > Preferences > General, and check the option iCloud Music Library.

Step 3. Import your music to iTunes library by clicking File and select Add file to Library.

There is also an easier way to do this and you can also use a tool to automate this process. Read on to see the details.

Can You Automate This?

After installing iTunes, it will create a folder called Automatically Add to iTunes. Once you add a file to this folder, it will automatically add to iTunes Library and iTunes will sync that to your iCloud Music Library.

If you are using Windows, the folder should be in "C:UsersyournameMusiciTunesiTunes MediaAutomatically Add to iTunes".

If you are using Mac, you can find it in the same location if you haven’t manually change it. if you cannot find it, you can go to Edit> Preferences > Advanced to see the iTunes Media Folder location.

That said, if you can automatically move or copy your own music to this folder, you can automatically add music to iCloud Music Library.

If you are using Windows, you can use File Juggler to do just that. Let’s see you always save your own music to a certain folder, you can use File Juggler to monitor that folder. Once detects a target files, it will automatically take action.

If you use other apps to download music on your iPhone, you can also use this method to automatically save them to Apple Music. First, you save the music to iCloud on your iPhone. Then use File Juggler or Hazel to monitor your iCloud folder on your computer hard drive and move music files to the iTunes folder.
