2 Ways to Sync Facebook Contacts with iPhone or iPad

You may have made a lot of friends On Facebook. In order to better contact these friends, you can sync Facebook contacts with iPhone or iPad. You can also sync the contacts photos to your iPhone, you will see the photo when your friend calls you.

Surely, you do not have to add each contact info manually. You set up your iPhone to sync contacts with Facebook in settings. For sync contact photos, you will need to install an app from AppStore to do that automatically.

In order to sync Facebook contacts with your iPhone, you need to install the Facebook app. After that, you can you can follow the step by step guide below to sync your Facebook contacts with iPhone quickly.

Step 1. Open Facebook App. Login with your Facebook account if you haven’t already. Go to Friends and then select Contacts.

Step 2. From there, you will be asked to grant Contacts access to Facebook app. Tap OK to continue.

Step 3. Open the Settings app, and scroll down to select Facebook.

Step 4. Make sure the Contacts option is toggled on, and then tap on the  “Update All Contacts”  to sync your Facebook contacts to iPhone. 

When the sync is complete, you can check all the synced contacts from the Contacts app on your iPhone. You may see some duplicated contacts if your iPhone already has some Facebook contacts.

Another thing you should know is that the already synced contacts will not be automatically updated when your Facebook friend change his or her contact info.

Step 1. Head to the app store on your iPhone and install this app.

Step 2. Once installed, open it and tap this big button Get Started.

 Step 3. Sign in with your phone number to get started.

From here, you can start syncing your contacts. If you want to custom the sync settings, just tap Settings at the bottom right and tap Sync Settings.

First Background Sync will help you sync your friend's photos all the time automatically when they update it on Facebook. If you don't want to pay for this, you just leave it off.

The second option Sync photos overwrite existing, I suggest you turn it on because you don’t want to some old photos for contacts in the iPhone database.

That’s how you can sync your Facebook contacts to iPhone. If you also want Facebook contacts to be available in Outlook, Gmail or another platform, you can simply export contacts from your iPhone as CSV format.

From there, you can check multiple contacts that you want to export to a PC. If you find duplicated contacts here, you can also delete multiple contacts using IOTransfer.
