Other Things You Need to Know When Switching to iOS

Switching from Android to iOS is a big change because they are totally two different environments. You need some time to get used to it.

You Might Have to Buy Your Apps Again

If you have pay-upfront apps on your Android phone that you paid for, you'll likely have to buy them again from AppStore. As you know, AppStore and Google Play are completely different. Some apps on your Android may not have an iOS version.

If you have subscribed to a service like Spotify, then you can just download the app and login with your account on your iOS device. Not all free apps will be automatically installed on your iOS device, even if they are available on iOS device.

Freedom You Lose from Switching to iOS Device

Android is an Open Source operating system with many customizable features which iOS is a Closed one with open source components, so you will lose some freedom after switching to iOS from Android.

First, there is no file manager on iOS device. Second, you cannot download files on iPhone from Safari by default. Third, you can only install apps from AppStore unless you jailbreak your iPhone.

The biggest difference between iOS and Android may be file transfer. On iOS, you can transfer photos between iPhone and PC via USB cable, but you need to use iTunes or other alternatives if you want to transfer other media files.
