3 Ways to Select All Photos on iPhone [Barely Known But Efficient]

Since iOS 9, you can use iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to select multiple pictures from the Photos app. If you are not using earlier versions of iOS or you are looking for a way to select all photos on iPhone, you are in the right place.

In this article, I will show you three ways to select and delete all photos on iPhone Camera Roll or other albums without jailbreak. The last one will probably blow your mind. Keep reading to learn the quickest way to select all photos on your iOS device.

Method 1: A Simple Trick to Select All Photos Effortlessly

You probably know how to select multiple photos on your iPhone. It is quite handy to select a small number of photos, but it is much better to have a Select All button when you have many photos.

I cannot bring you an Select All button to iPhone, but I will show you a simple trick to select all photos on iPhone quickly without downloading any tools.

Step 1. Open the Photos app and go to any album that you want to select photos from. Here, I will take the Camera Roll as an example.

Step 2. Tap on the “Select” button.

Step 3. Now you can tap on the image to start selecting multiple images. For quickly select all of them, press and hold down while dragging from right to left and lift.

Step 4. Now you can see how many photos are selected. Continue to hold down and tap on the top location where states how many photos are selected. Then it will bring you to the first a few photos in this album, and you can see all the photos are selected.

The crucial part is that you tap on the top to bring you to the top image while holding down on the images you selected. This is really helpful when you have a lot of images to select.

Method 2: Select All iPhone Photos with One Click

Another way is to use an iPhone manager software IOTransfer to select all photos with a Select all button. This is very useful whether you want to select all photos on iPhone to backup or delete them.

    

Step 1. Free download and install IOTransfer on your Windows PC.

Step 2. Connect your iPhone to PC with the lightning cable, and open this software.

Step 3. If you want to delete all photos, click on the Manage tab at the top menu and select Photos and the album.

Step 4. Click Select all at the top. If needed, click Delete to delete all photos.

As you can see, at the Home screen of this software it automatically selects all the photos, videos, contacts, and music for you to transfer to PC in one-click. If you want to backup all photos to your PC, then the program has simply selected all the photos on your iPhone, you can click the button Transfer to PC to backup all photos to PC.

Method 3: Select and Delete All Photos with Workflow

If you want a more automatic method to select all your photos for various of purpose, then you really should not miss out this one. To do this, you need to install an application Workflow, developed by Apple.

With Workflow, you easily to create a custom workflow to select all photos from one or more album. What’s more, you can custom the workflow to automatically delete all photos, upload to Dropbox, Share to social networks, etc.

You can refer to the steps below to create a workflow to select all photos for your own purpose. You can also simply use this workflow that I created to delete all photos from Camera Roll.

Step 1. Free download and install Workflow app from AppStore.

Step 2. After the welcome process, tap on the + icon at the top right to create a new workflow.

Step 3. Tap on the Actions tab at the button. Then find and drag the Find Photos action rightward.

Step 4. Tap Add Filter to select an album that you want to select photos from. By default, it is All Photos, which means all photos in the Camera Roll. You can tap it to change the album.

Step 5. Tap the Actions to add more action. Depending on your purpose, you can add any action you want. I will take Delete Photos as an example.

Step 6. Once you add the action to the selected photos, tap on the Play button at the top to start this workflow. In this case, it will select all photos on iPhone and delete them automatically.

You can also add more albums to select them altogether by tapping on Add Filter. For deleting all selected photos from all the albums, select Any of the following are true.

Once the workflow is configured, you can add a name to it and add to the Home screen. In that case, you can tap 1 button to select all photos on iPhone with ease.
