Imagine that you are using your iPhone and suddenly you are not able to hear any sound from your phone. What will you do? The iPhone no sound issue can happen in many situations. It could happen when you remove the earphone out of the jack, plug the iPhone out of a dock, or update to new iOS system, like iOS 11. If the problem is hardware-related, you might need to send your iPhone for repairing. Before you do that, you can try the following methods to see if they can fix no sound issue on iPhone 6/6plus/7.
1. Restart your iPhone
The first immediate solution if the iPhone sound not working is restart. There are times when your phone is having a slight software issue, this will be resolved by only restarting it for once. It can also happen due to some kind of bug that is not harmful most of the times.
2. Check the volume buttons
Another technique that you can use to resolve iPhone no sound issue is to check the volume buttons. You may have accidently activated the silent mode of your mobile. Checking these buttons will assure you that there are no volume issues on your phone. As humans, it is quite possible that we forget things so it is always best to check volume buttons.
3. Headphones plugging in and out
If you are having sound issues on your phone while using your headphone, first of all, check that the headphones you are using are compatible with your mobile phone. If yes, then try to plug them in and out for few times. It is quite possible that you have inserted it improperly which is why you are unable to hear the sound.
4. Clean your phone
Dirt can damage your phone and its sound quality. Although it is recommended to clean your phone on daily basis but in the case of any sound issues, do clean any dirt present on your phone. Focus especially on the areas around the speaker. This will help you get some clarity on the sound if the issue is dirt.
5. Check your Bluetooth
The issue of iPhone 6 no sound can be caused when you have paired your phone with a head device and forgotten about it. Due to this pairing, you will not be able to hear any sound as they will be playing on the head set that is connected. It is best to switch off your Bluetooth option to make sure that your phone is not connected to any device.
6. Tapping the right corner of your phone
It may seem weird to most of the people but this trick works sometimes. As the speaker of your phone is located on the bottom right corner of your phone, pressing on that point will solve the sound issues. Hold that point for at least 20 seconds and then release it.
Anyone can face no sound issues on iPhone (Need iPhone manager?), try to use the above-mentioned techniques and you will be able to hear the sound from your phone again.
