Change iTunes' Default Audio Format and Quality
When you rip CDs to iTunes, it will be normally encoded and saved into AAC format by default. This can be changed by going to Edit->Preferences. You will be on the General tab now. Once you are there, look for the Import Settings. Once you click the Import Settings, a new menu with pop and you can choose whatever format and quality you want your audio files encoded in.
Parental Controls
This is quite an important feature if want to make sure youngsters isn’t exposed to questionable/explicit content. You can simply set restrictions on Music, TV shows, Apps and Movies easily via the Restrictions Tab in Preferences. (Edit-> Preferences->Restrictions). You can also set ratings according to the country where you reside. By default iTunes will display ratings for United States.
Mouse-Free iTunes
No problem if you don’t want to rely on mouse when you are using iTunes. You can use keyboard shortcuts to quickly accomplish many tasks in iTunes. To find the shortcuts for common commands, look in the iTunes menu or visit their official website to check all the shortcuts. To turn on full keyboard navigation, choose Edit > Preferences, click General, select Advanced Tab and select “Enable full keyboard navigation.”
MiniPlayer
Under the Advanced section of Preferences, you can choose to have the MiniPlayer always float on top of all windows.
