Portrait Mode feature is first introduced on iPhone 7 Plus in 2016. Now it’s live on both iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. You may wonder how to remove Portrait effect after photos are taken. Follow the steps below you will learn.
How to Remove Portrait Mode Effect on iPhone
If you take a photo in Portrait mode and turns out the effect is pretty bad, or you would rather not have that effect on your photo, you can remove the option in a few steps.
To get started, launch Photos app on your iPhone 7 Plus/iPhone 8 Plus/iPhone X.
Find the photo you took with Portrait mode and open it.
Tap on “Edit” on the top right corner.
Tap on the yellow Portrait button on the top screen.
Tap “Done”. The Portrait effect is removed.
Note: If you change your mind and want to get back the Portrait effect, you can edit and tap yellow Portrait again.
How to Change the Lighting Effect on iPhone
Portrait effect can be removed and also changed after photos taken, the fix is quite simple.
Find the photos you want to edit in Photos app, open it.
Tap “Edit” on top right corner.
Tap on the cube in the center, the lighting effect will appear.
Swipe the effect to select the Natural Lighting or other lighting options.
Tap “Done” to save the photo and the effect.
