At times, you could come across some really funny YouTube videos that you want to save as your own superb video collections. However, what to do since YouTube provides no video download options?

Wait… Why should we insist on that method, because this time, I will mainly illustrate how to record YouTube videos on iPhone and PC with an amazing third-party video recording program and iOS 11’s inbuilt screen capture tool.

Record A YouTube Video on PC

There is a number of screen capture software in market like Fraps. Indeed, they do pretty well in HD video record and have their own distinctive features. However, most of them have a crucial defect – occupying too much storage space on your PC.

Gladly, I found another alternative program named Replay Video Capture 8 several days ago when trying to figure out a solution to YouTube video record on the internet.

Now, follow the detailed steps below to learn how to record a YouTube video on PC.

1. Download, install and launch Replay Video Capture 8.

2. Find the YouTube video you want, return to the control panel of Replay Video Capture 8 and click on “GET VIDEOS”.

3. Now, you will be required to resize the playback window by moving the cursor.

4. After finished, click on “Record” to get started and click on “Stop” to quit the YouTube video record.

Record YouTube Videos on iPhone (iOS 11)

iOS 11 has brought many practical features for us and the screen capture is one of them. No need for jailbreak like what we did before, you can directly record YouTube on iPhone or launch a screen capture via its control center.

Major Steps to Record iPhone Screen:

1. First of all, go to “Settings” > “Control Center” > Customize Controls > on your iPhone and then tap on “+” beside “Screen Recording”. Find the desired YouTube video and pause it.

2. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open “Control Center”. Tap the recording button and after a 3-second count down the video recording process will get started. Then, you can let the YouTube video run.

3. When you want to quit the record, tap on the red status bar at the top of the screen and then tap on “Stop”. Or go to “Control Center” again and tap on the red recording button.

Save YouTube Videos on iPhone before iOS 11

As I have mentioned before, the YouTube video recorder feature is only available on iPhone on iOS 11 or its later version. So, how to save a YouTube video offline on the earlier version?
