It is quite common to use iMessage service on iPhone, while some users want to sync their messages and get iMessage on computer. So, how to get iMessage on Windows PC and Mac?

How to Get iMessage on Mac

iMessage allows you to send and receive unlimited messages to/from other Apple users. Apple ID or phone number is required if you want to set up and get iMessage on Mac. Here is how to get iMessage on Mac:

1. open Messages app > Preferences > Accounts

2. choose iMessage

3. enter Apple ID and password to sign in iMessage (make sure you use the same Apple ID that you are using on other devices)

You phone number will be automatically added to the list. Now, you are able to get iMessage on Mac.

Stop Getting iMessage on Mac

If you change your mind, and want to stop using iMessage on your Mac, follow these steps:

·         Messages > Preferences > Accounts

·         deselect “Enable this account” and make sure it is displayed as Offline

·         click “Sign Out”

Once you sign out, you will no longer get iMessage on your Mac until you re-enable it.
