Free Download MP3 to iPhone Directly without iTunes – No Jailbreak

As you know there are many websites to free download music, but is not quite convenient to download files to iPhone . Is there a way to free download MP3 to iPhone directly without PC? Sure, you can get that done with Apple’s app Shortcuts or another free app from AppStore.

As the largest video streaming platform, YouTube is also a great place to enjoy music. Many new pieces of music are first released on YouTube. If you love the music on YouTube, then you will love this method of directly downloading MP3 to iPhone or iPad.

All you need is the Shortcuts app that introduced in WWDC 2018. If you have not get it on your iPhone, you should now because it is so powerful. It can help you download free music to your iPhone directly and many more other things.

Step 1. Install Shortcuts app from AppStore. And get this YouTube to MP3 shortcut. You should open this link in Safari.

Step 2. Copy the YouTube Music link and run this shortcut. If you use the YouTube app, you can also tap Share and run this Shortcut from Share Sheet.

Step 3. Wait for the download to complete and then select a location to save the MP3.

You can select any Cloud Drive that’s connected to the Files app. If you do not want to get prompted, you can specify a location path to save the downloaded MP3. If you do not like using YouTube, you can also search a song and download right away.

There is another great shortcut called Deezer Downloader to download music to your iOS device directly. When you run this Shortcut, it will ask you to input a song name or artist name. 

Then it will give you a few search results that you can choose to download.

If you have been using Deezer, you can copy the Deezer song link and run this shortcut to directly download the music.

Shortcuts app is a great and convenient way to download MP3 directly to iPhone without PC, but it does not run in the background at least for now. Hope Apple will optimize this in the future updates.

If you want to download music in the background, there is another free app called Documents to help you. You can also use it to download YouTube videos if you like.

Within the Documents app, there is an web browser. You can tap it to visit the website that you used to download free music. For example, you can go to MP3Juices website, search for a song and then tap on the Download button to directly download the song.

As you see, there are many ways to download music on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, but you cannot add the downloaded music to Apple Music Library directly without a PC. By using some automation tool, you can automatically add music to iCloud Music Library automatically, but that still need your computer running.
