How to Add Music to Instagram Story on iPhone with Two Methods

The Instagram Story Music Sticker feature was released in June 2018, which is a useful tool to add some audible flair to your Stories. Here is a quick step-by-step guide to get you started. Read on. 

Step 1. Launch Instagram app on your iPhone and tap on the camera icon on the top right of your homepage. Or just simply open the camera icon by swiping right from the left of the screen. 

Step 2. Select "Music" option under the record button in the bottom window and then you are able to scroll through tons of songs displayed in the type of Popular, Moods and Genres. Or you can directly type into the name of songs to search for your desired music.

Step 3. Once you have chosen your favorite song, you can manually set the duration of the clip to select the specific part that can perfectly match for your story.

Just drag the bar at the bottom to choose your ideal part of the song or directly tap on the time at the bottom to choose the total playback time of the clip. Note that you can play your clip for up to 15 seconds.

Step 1. Launch Music app on your iPhone and then select a song you want to add to your Instagram story. Tap on the selected song and use the time bar to choose the section of the song you want to add. Then tap on the pause icon at the bottom.

Step 2. Launch Instagram app on your device and tap on the camera icon at the top left corner of the screen. 

Step 3. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to active Control Center and click the playback button to play your selected song.

Step 4. Close the Control Center and then touch and hold the shutter button to start recording your own story. After recording, click “Your Story” at the left bottom of your screen to upload your story.
