The Calendar on your iPhone can prove to be a really handy productive tool and keep you on top of things. In this article, we will be discussing how to sync your calendar and keep your events up to date on your iPhone, iPad and Mac so as to make sure your plans and agenda go with you anywhere you go.

In the calendar that comes with your iPhone, has all the tools you need to set up appointments, reminders and put together all your life activities so you do not miss important dates and events.

To sync your calendar across your Apple devices, you have to first log into the single iCloud account. This will make sure that whatever task you carry out on your iPhone will appear on your iPad and iPhone. In a situation where your calendar or events on your calendar aren't showing, this might mean that you are not logged into a single iCloud account across the devices or you are most likely having issues with syncing your iCloud. This article will cover everything that ensures it all works well and properly set up.

Create a new calendar

Click on "File" and select "New Calendar", then click on "Cloud" from the pop-up that appears.Your new calendar will be found under the iCloud list located at the left pane containing the calendar. You can choose to give it whatever name you want and share it by clicking on the share icon located at the right-hand side of the name of the calendar. This will give you access to your new calendar on your other iOS devices. Open your calendar app on these devices and tap "Calendars" at the bottom of the page.

All your iPhone calendars will appear here including the new one you just created. Should a calendar get shared, you will see who is sharing it and who they are sharing it with.

Making sure it is properly synced

If the syncing is properly done, then there is nothing else to do other than making use of your calendar whenever you want. If, however, your calendar is not showing on your other devices, then you should confirm if all your devices are connected to the same iCloud account. If they are all on the same iCloud account, check your iCloud settings to make sure the "sync to iCloud" setting is setup.

How do you check if your calendar is set up to sync to iCloud?

-        Open up settings on your iPhone or iPad and navigate to iCloud.

-        Scroll down and make sure "Calendars is enabled"

-        On your Mac, navigate to "System Preferences", then "iCloud" and make sure "Calendars" is enabled.

This is the simple way to have calendars synced on your iPhone, iPad and Mac.
