By integrating with newer Apple technology and hardware, iPhone SE is considered as a great option for people who expect high device performance as well as budget price. However, not all users have a smooth experience with iPhone SE, and some of them are suffering from some kinds of connection, display, sync and other issues. Here, we summarize the common issues you might have on your iPhone SE, and will also help you fix them.

iPhone Requires a Newer Version of iTunes

According to some iPhone SE users’ feedback, their devices cannot be recognized by iTunes when they connect their iPhone SE to their computer with a USB cable. Sometimes, people get notification like “The iPhone cannot be used because it requires a newer version of iTunes. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of iTunes.” So, download and install the latest version of iTunes may help fix the issue. If it still exists after updating iTunes, try the following methods:

1.       Apple official guide for device recognition issue

2.        Reset iPhone SE to the factory settings (do not forget to backup your iPhone before resetting)

Distorted Audio While Using Bluetooth with Vehicle System

Actually, this is one of the main issues that many iPhone SE users running iOS 9.3 or 9.3.1 are suffering from. When they use their iPhone SE devices over Bluetooth with a vehicle system, it comes about inaudible phone calls, distorted audio and some other issues. Not just a single case, it happens to most vehicle models, including Toyota, Ford, Hyundai, Audi, KIA, BMW, Jeep, Mercedes-Benz and etc.

Fortunately, iOS 9.3.2 update offers a significant fix to iPhone SE users. The related release note is “Fixes an issue where some Bluetooth accessories could experience audio quality issues when paired to the iPhone SE”. If your iPhone SE is running iOS 9.3 or 9.3.1 and have the Bluetooth issue, you need to install iOS 9.3.2 update as soon as possible.

iPhone SE iMessage Issues

In terms of the iMessage issue, there are two situations that iPhone SE users might face with. In the first case, new messages are being marked as read directly. Secondly, messages sent and received from other iOS devices are not appearing on iPhone SE, but they still appear on other devices. Whether you are facing with one of the iMessage issue or just have both of them, follow these steps:

1.       Turn iMessage off and on, and reboot your iPhone SE

2.       Reset the network settings of your iPhone SE

3.       Check and make sure all your devices are linked to the same Apple ID

Won’t Pair to Apple Watch

Some users complain that they fail to pair their iPhone SE with Apple Watch. In fact, iPhone 5 or later should be able to be paired with Apple Watch device, and that includes iPhone SE. If you confront with this issue, then you need to make sure that your iPhone SE has already been updated to the latest version of iOS.

Moreover, you can also check out some other settings. Make sure Bluetooth is on, your iPhone SE is connected to Wi-Fi or a cellular network, and both devices are charged to keep them close together, no matter you sync or pair them.

Note that Apple Watch can only be paired with one iPhone at a time. So your iPhone SE won’t pair to it if the Apple Watch device has already paired with another iPhone. Of course, you got the final option: erase your Apple Watch and set it as a new one.

Fail to Send Images to non-iPhone Devices

This is a minor bug reported by small number of iPhone SE users. It happens when you send images to those non-iPhone users, while the messages just come back almost immediately with a red exclamation and “Not Delivered” point. To fix this issue,

1.       Go to Settings > Messages, and see if SMS/MMS is enabled

2.       Check that if the contacts you are trying to send images have already been blocked

3.       Update carrier and restart your iPhone SE

4.       If this issue still exists after trying the 3 methods, you need to contact your carrier or network provider

At the same time, there are some iPhone SE users give feedback that they face with battery life and overheating issues as well. And we have already introduced a couple of tips to resolve the issues.
