How to Save iPhone 7/Red 6s Battery Life

5 ways to save iPhone 7/red and iPhone 6s battery life. It's also applicable for all iOS devices running iOS 10 and iOS 9.

We have previously talked about fixing iOS 9 battery life issues on iPhone and iPad. But today we will discuss a number of quick and handy tips to save battery on iPhone 7 and other iOS device running iOS 10 and iOS 9. Here we go!

5 ways to save iPhone battery life

  • Turn Off Automatic App Update

Whether you're using Cellular network or WiFi, it is wise to turn off auto updates for Apps. Continuously updating apps can drain your battery, so it is wise to turn the auto update off. Here's how to do it:

> Open the Settings app

> Select iTunes & App Stores

> Move slider to off in the automatic downloads section.

  • Turn on Auto-Brightness

It's a wise choice to turn on auto-brightness as iPhone will balance the display brightness automatically using the ambient light sensor. Doing so will save energy plus it's better for viewing. Here's how to do it:

> Open the Settings app

> Select Display & Brightness

> Move the slider to turn on the feature

  • Stop Motion & Animations

iOS uses motion effects to create the perception of depth on your Home screen and within apps. If you have the sensitivity to motion effects or screen movement on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you can use Reduce Motion to turn off these effects. But it also drains battery, here's how to turn off these effects:

> Open Settings app

> Select General

> Choose Accessibility

> Reduce Motion

> Move slider to reduce motion

  • Turn Off Background App Refresh

In spite of how efficient Apple has tried to make background refresh, some apps still manage to the consumer a ton of power and resources. Yes, looking at Facebook so hard... Luckily, if either your battery life or your data limit is a concern, you can turn off background refresh all together — or just for those apps, you don't consider that important. Here's how to do it:

> Open Settings app

> Select General

> Choose Background App Refresh

> Turn slider to left
